Reinvent Your Winter Wardrobe

It's been so much fun organising this blog post. I've had such fantastic feedback over the quality of the debut collection, though admittedly, some are taken aback by the sheer scale of the knit. So what better way to show you how wearable this collection is than to style it with the other staple items in your wardrobe? See below for styling tips and tricks to compliment the ZERO collection.

Please note this post covers womenswear, the menswear styling will be coming soon so be sure to sign up below for the latest and feel free to comment with your own personal style suggestions.

1. Let the Knitwear do the Talking

These pieces are designed to be noticed, so let them do just that! Try teaming with a contrasting colour. Here, a close fit jumper enhances the chunky textile and we've tied it off with a grunge-style ankle boot. When it's really chilly throw a floor length coat over your shoulders and pull those socks up for head to toe cosiness.

2. COMPLIMENT WITH A PRINT

Pairing the slate jersey knit jumper with a tailored dog tooth trouser has created a classic silhouette with contemporary prints and details. Round it off with a chelsea boot for smart-casual style and comfy footwear.

3. Add a Statement to the Statement

Throw on your office heels and shirt for a formal twist. A statement necklace will draw the eye to the neckline, elongating the body and your favourite biker jacket will contrast the soft knitwear with a 'rocker' edge.

4. Commit to the Boldness

A graphic print will either scream eccentric lunatic or, when paired in the same colour palette, pay off. Commit to the extremity of the knit and dare to push it further.

5. Peek-a-boo Lengths

A coat that allows for a few rows of stitching to be seen offers intrigue and intelligent layering. We've picked a duster coat over a high neckline (allowing the vital organs to keep warm as we move into winter). A nude heel and cross body bag polish off the look.

6. Tantalising Textures

Have some chunky knitwear that isn't quite as elevated as a ZERO piece? Invite it to the party! Play with textures and have fun with it. Marry the outfit with leather accessories to contrast the soft textile and you're on to a winner.

7. All Over Oversized

A wide leg trouser can allow the eye to travel seamlessly from head to toe and elongate the figure. For even more height add a chunky heeled boot for oversized all over! Here we have teamed the natural jersey knit jumper with our friend, denim. A frayed hem to the trouser can add high fashion detail in the most simplistic way.

8. Celebrate the Chunkiness

Over time the knit in the jumpers will lose it's tension and the charm of the garment really comes to life. Embracing the comfiness throw one over your shoulders and team with reliable over the knee boots for a warming winter jumper dress that's sure to turn heads. (A personal favourite of mine I must say).

I hope this has inspired you to be brave with your knitwear. Fashion is all about problem solving, innovation and looking to the future. It's definitely time for me to climb into one of my jumpers given the temperatures plummeting here in Cardiff.
